While watching the first couple of episodes of “The Last Dance”, a documentary about Michael Jordan and the 1997-98 Chicago Bulls, I find myself mesmerized by Jordan and his championship qualities. Does he have talent? Of course, but that talent was developed over years of quality practice, both physically and mentally.
There is a saying I heard many years ago, “work while you wait!” I believe Jordan is referring to this and lived his life that way. A lot of people have dreamed about hitting the game winner or something similar to that; Jordan lived those moments out everyday at practice and that is what paved the way for his ability to execute in the clutch game moments.
We all have our game moments throughout our life. What are you doing in practice to prepare for your opportunities? I believe this to be true in whatever profession you do.
