Happy #MotivationalMonday (04/06/20) #Perspective

When we are talking about getting to a result, we must always start at the beginning. No matter the goal, the first step, or beginning, is just what the quote refers to; simply coming together in body, mind, or spirit. Although it is usually easy to join together in the beginning, it becomes more difficult to remain united as you work toward progress.

Most things in life take teamwork to accomplish a common goal. As most of us know, it is not always easy to work with others. Differences in personalities, priorities, and opinions often result in failed attempts at success. We tend to lose sight of the reason, or mission, behind coming together in the first place. Many times, this is because our focus gets distracted by the emotion of our differences. In order to start making progress and reach success, we must instead keep our focus on our common goals, the unique qualities in each of us that will help to reach our goals, and the small victories we can celebrate along the way.

In our current situation, our common goal as a country is to fight and overcome the Covid-19 virus. Although we may be unable to come together physically, we can unite mentally and spiritually to make progress toward that goal. Whether it is through essential work, social distancing, or prayer, we can each do our part. It is important that we stay focused on the positive things surrounding us and not get distracted by negative emotions that try their best to get in the way of success.

Whatever teamwork you are a part of right now, do not let your focus be distracted by the negative. Instead, focus on the good around you and the good in each of your teammates. If we can remain united, success is waiting just on the other side of the progress we are making!
