Happy #MotivationalMonday (2/03/20) #PushIngThrough
Like almost all of you were, I was heartbroken last Sunday when I heard of the horrific accident that claimed the lives of Kobe Bryant, Gianna Bryant, John Altobelli, Keri Altobelli, Alyssa Altobelli, Christina Mauser, Sarah Chester, Payton Chester, and Ara Zobayan. One minute they are headed to a tournament to compete, and the next they are taken from this world way too early.
As I did after I received this type of phone call regarding my mother, son, and father, I asked WHY? WHY them? WHY me? WHY my family? I believe this is a natural reaction to such tragedy; however, I also believe that this thought process over time can be a detriment to your mental health. When a tragedy of this magnitude happens, it’s easy to stop living because of what you lost.
At some point in the grieving process, it’s important to turn the page and start living by honoring their purpose and legacy. This is much easier said than done, but this allows you to carry on your story and theirs.
