This message has been one of the toughest things for me to address and fix within myself and I am sure I am not alone. Tuesday, November 7th, will be TEN YEARS since my mother has passed away. We were not on speaking terms when she passed and not a day goes by that I wish I didn’t say those terrible things to her on July 4th, 2007. As I have said many times already in these blogs, life is all about choices and decisions. I let my anger get to me that day and chose to say some terrible things. Because of this response, I have regret!
So, how do I, or you, move forward from responses that have anger? Try this:
Think before you speak.
Once you’re calm, then express your frustration.
Get some exercise.
Practice some relaxation skills.
Don’t hold a grudge, let it go.
Please try some of these tips if needed and let me know if they work out for you. Although I have regret, I do understand that I have a platform and can help people (including myself) from making these same bad decisions. Because of my Faith, one day I will have the chance to tell my mother I am sorry. Have a great Monday and week!
