We are in Day 6 of the “T18 Days to Give” campaign. This has been just one of many thriving moments in my life. But my mindset hasn’t always been to “thrive.” There have been several times in my life that all I thought I could do was survive. When my mother passed away, I chose to be in survival mode. It was a dark time in my life and I would constantly ask myself, “Why did this happened to me?” After Aaron’s passing, I could have easily continued in survival-mode. Instead, I chose to thrive.
I was tired of being miserable and angry. I began to ask, “How can I use this to impact others?” So began the AaronStrong Foundation and a more positive outlook for my life. However, a few weeks later, I was hit with my father’s passing. I was ready to give up again; back to survival mode. I think there are many people that fall back hard when tough times hit. I was one of those people. It is hard to continue with a good mindset when there can be so much negative surrounding you. Just remember, we were made to thrive. YOU were made to thrive.
Everyone is going to have “survival” moments, some may last longer than others. But, don’t forget, THRIVING is just a choice away. One part of our “T18 Days to Give” challenge is to share and tag our March 6th motivational Monday with 18 people on social media.
